
Epilepsy takes its toll. Resting well is a struggle. Nights of sleeplessness, constant seizures, and taking a plethora of medications can drain you. One of the most important things to do is rest. How can you take it easy in the midst of chaotic brain activity? Here are some ideas:
- Have a special blanket set aside for rest. I love soft warm snuggly blankets. Mine is purple and it is super soft! Weighted blankets are also amazing.
- Create a resting kit! Items for rest can include a sleep mask, microwavable heating pad, cozy pillow, comfy pants, comfy shirt, and cozy socks.
- Find puzzle books, journals, and coloring books to keep your mind preoccupied
- Cuddle with pets! It will make you feel better!
