What if I Don't Have A Brainiversary?
Can you celebrate amid no Brainiversary?
2010-15 was a brain fog. I had trouble sleeping. Nocturnal seizures were difficult. I wrote to God, listened to classical music, and prayed to sleep. One sleepless night, I awoke from my bed and found a notebook in my dresser drawer. I fished out a pen and doodled pictures of my kitties, ET and Ebbie. I wrote the names of friends and family members who supported me. Once I started to write, I realized it wasn't the seizures but finding gratefulness in the little things.
Things I am grateful for (in no particular order):
- Kitty friends
- My family
- My bestie and epilepsy community
- Tea
- YouTube courses to try
- The Library online and in person
- Coffee shops
- Reading a good book
- Walks outside
- Cozy blankets
- Blogging to connect with others
- Writing
- God
- Road trips
- Puzzles
- Baking!
Your list might vary from mine. While seizure freedom might seem light-years away, know we at Purplicious are here for you. I want you to start thinking of the little things you enjoy. Celebrate the small and savor the moments. Any little bit makes a huge difference! 💜
